Antizionist and Anticolonialist as long as it takes
As you may have noticed, this year the P!nk Bloc has decided not to organize a fourth Rad Pride and instead to focus its efforts on organizing the Trans Liberation March. This decision stems from our analysis of the province’s political situation and the need to organize in the face of transphobic, racist, xenophobic, and Islamophobic attacks carried out by the current government and several opposition parties. The upcoming election campaign risks becoming the scene of a reactionary onslaught against our marginalized communities. We must prepare to confront it.
However, we feel it is necessary to reiterate certain positions of the P!nk Bloc. Over the last two years, the RadPride has placed the fight against pinkwashing and anti-Zionism at the heart of its positions in response to the complicity of LGBTQ+ institutions in the Zionist propaganda machine. While the Trans March, by its very nature, does not focus in the same way on critiques of assimilationist circles, we wish to reaffirm, again and again, our opposition to any effort to justify colonial and genocidal atrocities through rhetoric that purports to defend our rights.
We stand, and will always stand, with the peoples resisting in Palestine, but also in Sudan, the Congo, Lebanon, Yemen, and everywhere else. Above all, let us not forget that here, too, we find ourselves on colonized lands built upon the genocide of First Nations peoples and the Inuit. Here, as elsewhere, peoples who have been victims of colonial violence continue to resist colonial states, their destructive economies, and their enforcers (police, militias, and armies). From the Km 134 Sovereignty Camp to the Gazan resistance fighters, anti-colonial struggles inspire us with their courage, militancy, and resilience. It is the duty of all those who believe in liberation to support and defend these struggles against the imperialist enemy. There is no trans liberation without the liberation of colonized peoples.
We therefore invite you to actively bring the Palestinian struggle and the struggles of all peoples resisting oppression into the March for Trans Liberation with banners, slogans, flags, and other symbols. Our solidarity is a solidarity of struggle, and we believe that all our struggles are interconnected.
