Here is a call put out by the organizations, comities and collectives that organize the 2026 trans march ! Any group is invited to sign the call to indorce its content<\/a> and mobilize to join us august 15th. See you all soon !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call of the Trans liberation march<\/strong><\/em>,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one can deny it anymore: we are going through dark times.<\/strong> Social, economic, and climate crises are ravaging our communities, while the specter of imperialism, colonialism, and fascism haunts every corner of our planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amidst this turmoil, racialized, migrant, trans, and queer communities find themselves under attack everywhere. Blamed for an imagined social decline, they are targeted by politicians and demagogues from the far right, the conservative right, and the liberal right in order to divert attention from their own destruction of the social fabric. Facing discrimination in employment, housing, and access to social services; intimidated in schools; and exposed to violence in the healthcare system, the prison system, and on the streets the reality is clear: the ruling class profits from the mechanisms that undermine our autonomy, our capacity for self-determination, and our material conditions. In the face of fascism, in the face of exclusion, in the face of the poverty imposed upon us, let us build our collective strength!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have always relied on ourselves to defend our lives, care for our communities, and build spaces where we can live with dignity.<\/strong> While right-wing actors exploit our communities to justify their imperialist ambitions, trans and queer people are taking to the streets to denounce genocides and pinkwashing around the world. We are part of the movements for reproductive rights, for Indigenous struggles, for the right to housing, and against the dismantling of the social safety net. All these struggles are interconnected. It is in this spirit that we want to make this trans march a broad, political, festive, and assertive mobilization.<\/strong> Let\u2019s seize this opportunity to come together, make our voices heard, connect with the activist history of this march, and organize for what lies ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the coming months, as the elections approach, our communities will be bombarded with dehumanizing political rhetoric that shamelessly attacks our living conditions. Despite our attempts to resist these constant attacks, it is clear that our efforts to organize for our liberation are systematically suppressed by police brutality and the deployment of a disproportionate surveillance apparatus. By criminalizing our struggles, the state seeks to sow a climate of fear within social movements and stifle them. To those who would like to see us cowering in fear, let us show our determination and our resolve to fight for our siblings and future generations! Let\u2019s organize, continue to resist, and fight back! \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let's demand, without compromise: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

- The repeal of Bill C-12;
\n- Canada\u2019s withdrawal from the Safe Third Country Agreement.
\n- The repeal of the ministerial directive formalizing the incarceration of trans women in men\u2019s prisons;
\n- Unconditional access to trans-affirmative healthcare, including pediatric care, regardless of an individual\u2019s immigration status.
\n- Funding for sex education, as well as efforts to combat queerphobic violence in schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
